Liver disease
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, hilar cholangiocarcinomas, benign conditions affecting liver such as liver cysts. symptomatic giant haemangiomas follicular nodular hyperplasia and premalignant condition such as adenomas, cystadenomas.
Bile duct disease
Experts in management of bike duct cancers, strictures stones and infections affecting the biliary tree.
Gallbladder disease
Expert in surgical management of gallbladder disease such as gallstones, fistulating gallstones or Mirrizi syndrome, gallbladder polyp and gall bladder cancer.
Pancreas disease

At Marylebone HPB, you can benefit from specialist-led care whether or not you have already had an initial investigation or diagnostic tests elsewhere. Your test results can be transferred over and one of our consultants will carefully review these ahead of your consultation.
Your consultant will review any existing results ahead of your consultation and confirm whether any of your tests need repeating or if further tests or scans are required to provide a clear and accurate diagnosis. The need for this will depend on your individual symptoms and existing test results and your Consultant will discuss this clearly with you before arranging for any onward investigations.
At Marylebone HPB, one of our Consultants will be in charge of leading your care but you will benefit from the expertise of all three members of the team at every stage.
Your investigation and care will be led by whichever Consultant is available to see you as soon as possible, but all our Consultants are highly experienced in treating the full range of HPB conditions and using open, laparoscopic and robotic techniques. If you would like to see one of our Consultants in particular, please let them team know when you get in touch.
At least two of our Consultants, including the Consultant in charge of your care will carry out your operation and in more complex cases all three will operate together.
Early diagnosis and treatment are important to ensuring good outcomes, which is why we offer no waiting times for an appointment – you’ll quickly be seen by one of our Consultants, who between them, offer appointments from 8am – 10pm, Monday to Friday and 8am – 7pm on Saturday.
Any onward diagnostic tests or scans can also be arranged with little to no waiting times. If surgery or further treatment is required, we will arrange for this tot take place as soon as possible.
You can arrange for a second opinion regardless of whether you have begun treatment for your condition. You can arrange for a second opinion with or without a referral and we can offer this service both face-to-face and through a virtual appointment.
When you contact us about a second opinion, the team will talk you through the necessary details we will require. One of our Consultants will then review your medical history, test results and other relevant documents ahead of your appointment with them so they are fully formed of your existing diagnosis and any treatment plan.
